Compensation and Schedule for the Senior Design System Developer NE

Senior Design System Developer NE – Full-time, remote, $60 per hour, Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Work independently on a supportive team!

Required Qualifications of the Senior Design System Developer NE

• 5+ years of recent front-end web development experience required

• Supervisory or team lead experience required

• Healthcare experience highly preferred

• Experience in GitHub, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript required

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field required

• High school diploma or GED required

• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities of the Senior Design System Developer NE

• Train and mentor front-end developers, assist in their hiring process, and maintain responsibility for their production

• Develop and research modern front-end languages and JavaScript frameworks, including those used by software development teams consuming the design team’s work

• Create and maintain the Company design system website, working alongside Senior UI/UX Designers, documenting all rules and patterns essential to the creation of the design team's websites and applications

• Communicate with Digital Product Managers to make sure project needs are met

• Attend and create meetings for each project the design team is involved in to ensure ongoing development tasks are completed and sites are kept up with modern front-end technologies

• Provide integration consulting to software development teams consuming the design system

• Delegate project tasks to mid-level and junior front-end developers, perform code reviews on all projects, and maintain full ownership over all contributed code, including proofing, quality checking of their work, and overall approval when committing code to production

• Provide global solutions for Company websites, including site architecture, best practices, and setting the standard for accessibility in front-end development

• Create developer standards charter for the team and department, including a consistent way of coding, installation of the design system components, and accessibility standards
