Medical Science Liaison, Body Contouring
Location: U.S. – South/South East
An‘ideal’ candidate for this role is someone with expert knowledge in the MedicalAesthetics environment.
Successfulcandidates have at least 3 of the following types of experience:
Facilitates information, education,and research activities
Identify, develop and maintain professionalrelationships with thought leaders, academic centers and researchers inassigned areas of therapeutic interest to ensure access to current medical andscientific information on Allergan portfolio related to Body Contouring.
Present scientific information on Allergan’sBody Contouring devices to healthcare professionals including physicians,academic institutions, researchers, and other health care professionals.
Provide approved scientific information toclients to ensure access to current medical and scientific informationnecessary.
Support research initiatives as requested byAllergan R&D, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs Departments andphysician-initiated projects.
Serve as internal medical and scientificresource to assigned Allergan therapeutic areas for development ofdisease-state and product communications and materials that are medicallyaccurate, balanced, and consistent with regulatory guidelines.
Support Round Table and Advisory Board sessionsto ensure accuracy of and clinician access to up-to-date scientific andclinical data.
Conduct on-going training to medical affairs,field sales and other internal personnel as directed.
Ensure up-to-date knowledge of product use andcompetitor data.
Serve as a local medical and scientific resourceto Allergan product planning for communication of product information.
Pharm.D, M.D., Ph.D, or other recognizeddoctorate level education with supporting applicable health science background
Minimum 4 years post professional degreepractice or relevant transferable experience (clinical practice, academicresearch and/or regulatory/scientific)
Industry experience preferred but not required
Experience in Aesthetic or Medical Dermatology, PlasticSurgery, disciplines preferred but not required
Knowledge of applicable pharmaceutical industrylegal and regulatory guidelines
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Strong presentation and teaching skills
The ability to learn and convey clinical andnon-clinical technical information effectively
Ability to develop and maintain strongrelationships
Ability to work independently
Exceptional planning and organizational skills
Strong team andleadership skills
Travel up to 60%
AValid Driver’s License
