Indirect Spend Management (ISM) is an international focused centralized procurement and best practice sharing organization which is a leader in adopting advanced procurement technologies to drive sourcing excellence and value creation across Walmart and its affiliates.

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our AI-driven procurement strategy. This role is designed for a visionary professional focused on integrating advanced AI technologies across our organization and integrated into current solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in generative artificial intelligence, intelligence engines and strategic implementation of technology solutions to optimize and revolutionize business operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a cutting-edge AI technology strategy that leverages internal and external generative solutions that aligns with organizational objectives, emphasizing operational excellence and innovation.

  • Understand and develop recommendations and solutions to improve, automate and simplify processes, through existing tools and new tools

  • Develop Generative AI platform or engine strategy for the worlds largest retailer's procurement department

  • Identify, evaluate, and deploy AI tools and technologies that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with IT and product teams to ensure the technology stack aligns with overall business objectives and needs.

  • Lead projects to expand Ai organizational strategy and integrate AI into legacy and future systems, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.

  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in AI to maintain and improve competitive advantage.

  • Manage relationships with AI technology vendors and external partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

  • Provide expert guidance and leadership on AI strategy and opportunities, fostering an innovative and results-driven culture.

  • Establish KPIs and regular reviews to measure the impact of implemented AI technologies, ensuring process and business compliance

  • Manage to budget AI initiatives, ensuring optimal use of resources.

  • Guide the organization through technological changes, providing training and support to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new systems.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field. Option 2: 6 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field and 2 years' experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.
