Summary This National Guard position is for a RESILIENCE AND RISK REDUCTION COORDINATOR, Position Description Number T5010000 and is part of the NJJFHQ, National Guard. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Program Manager for the MILPO Resilience, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention Program (R3/SPP). Responsibilities As a RESILIENCE AND RISK REDUCTION COORDINATOR, GS-0101-11, you will: Performs duties as the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program Coordinator that requires the incumbent to analyze trends by utilizing qualitative and quantitative measures to ensure the effective implementation of the Program. Serves as the staff consultant on all aspects of the Resilience, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention Program and training and is the focal point for analysis on a full spectrum of issues affecting Soldier accession and recruitment. Serves as the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program Coordinator with the responsibility for the overall planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, standardization and promoting of a comprehensive and effective program aimed at the reduction of Soldier and civilian high-risk behaviors (e.g., domestic violence, drug and alcohol, suicide, etc.). Participates with military and other government agencies in the definition of research requirements, the planning for research utilization, and the establishment of objectives and policies pertaining to resilience and risk reduction. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Areas of Consideration: CAT 7, Current Federal Employees and Applicants eligible for Re-employment including Temp Techs Additional Employment Requirements: -Participation in direct deposit is mandatory -May be required to successfully complete a probationary period -Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation -Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Practical knowledge of the following programs, procedures, and policies of the following areas: In addition to applicants meeting the basic requirements in the individual occupational requirements, use the Office of Personnel Management Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Professional and Scientific Positions experience and education table to determine qualifying for positions at higher grade levels SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions. Education EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. or Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education in the amounts shown in the table for Professional and Scientific Positions. You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for education, you must provide the proper documentation as proof of meeting the educational requirement for this position.
