  • Traveling to schools across Eastern Massachusetts.

  • Training school staff on best practices for accommodating children with hearing loss in the classroom.

  • Training school staff on using hearing technology in the classroom.

  • Completing functional listening evaluations in the classroom.

  • Troubleshooting equipment used in the classroom for auditory access.

  • Managing hearing assistive technology inventory.

  • Liaising between school and managing audiologist.

  • Participating in IEP meetings when appropriate.

  • Tracking service calls and completing billing.

  • Managing contracts between school districts and Boston Children’s Hospital.

  • Participating in program development and research related to clinical assignments.

  • Continuing individual professional growth by participating in continuing education activities, reading professional journals, mastering use of new equipment and technologies; fosters professional growth of other staff by sharing information gained through continuing education.

  • Planning, implementing and analyzing quality improvement monitors on a rotating basis; using findings to assist in modification of existing practices to improve quality of service delivery.

  • Providing occasional training and supervision to students and graduate student externs

To qualify you must have…

  • Current License in Audiology from the Division of Registration, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC A) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association or Board Certification from the American Board of Audiology.

  • Doctoral Degree (Audiology)

  • 1 year of clinically supervised experience in Pediatric Audiology and minimum 3 years of progressively responsible and specialized clinical experience

  • Valid driver’s license and access to transportation to contracted schools
