The Hybrid Nanomaterials Lab (https://hybridnanolab.weebly.com/) in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering (https://engineering.nyu.edu/) is seeking to hire a Post Doctoral Researcher to join an exciting project on nanocrystal based photon detectors.

This project involves the synthesis of infrared active colloidal quantum dots and their physical, chemical, structural, optical and electrical characterization followed by fabrication and device characterization of photodetectors. Candidates will be responsible for initiating and driving a multi-institute collaborative project and perform work in a multidisciplinary environment.

This is a one-year appointment, starting as early as March 16, 2024 with one year planned renewal contingent on performance and continued funding.In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $62,500. The successful candidate will be driven, creative and team-oriented with a passion for developing nanomaterials. We are seeking individuals with a strong background in chemistry, physics, engineering, and/or materials design, and/or related field. Proficiency in colloidal quantum dots synthesis and/or device fabrication/characterization is required. We welcome applicants from recent PhDs and individuals seeking additional postdoctoral training.
