The Position and Job Summary
Supports service providers in continually improving service levels through consultation on best practices, program monitoring, problem identification and exploration, complaint investigation, and providing group and individual training. Collects service satisfaction information from consumers and families and agency staff. Writes detailed reports of evaluation findings, advises service providers on implementing corrective actions, follows-up on implementation.
Conducts a minimum number of visits to all vendored adult day program and SLS providers to monitor compliance with program design, record keeping, health and safety, Medicaid waiver, personnel, and staffing ratio requirements.
Solicit, receive, and review annual day program evaluations and provide technical assistance to those vendors needing improvement.
Represents the agency in transactions with Community Care and Health Care licensing, State Developmental Centers (SDC), the Department of Developmental Services, community agencies, and regulatory agencies.
Creates, maintains informational material for use by providers, regional center staff, consumers, and families. Consults with Consumer Services staff and assists in resolution of complex service planning issues.
Collaborates with other Community Services Specialists (QA) as needed for monitoring and reporting.
Investigates special incidents and complaints involving day program, SLS and work programs as necessary.
Performs all other assigned duties as needed.
Compensation
This position is non-exempt. Regular Salary: $28.91 - $ 31.91 per hour.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience.
A Master's degree in a related subject may be substituted for two years of experience.
Ability to understand and apply regulatory and statutory information during reviews or investigations.
Familiarity with day programs, supported employment and SLS services.

Proficiency in numerous standard Office Suite software program and ability to learn new software applications.
Essential Requirements
Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation, or acceptable substitute, required.
