A reputable East Bay firm is seeking an experienced litigation Attorney to join their team. This role sits within the real estate law sector and requires regular travel to courts and networking events across the region.

Responsibilities:

• Litigate unlawful detainer actions in California state courts on behalf of property owners and managers.

• Draft pre-trial motions, pleadings, and discovery.

• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.

• Engage with people of various educational, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds, adapting communication methods as needed.

• Apply knowledge of landlord-tenant principles and California Civil Code in daily duties.

• Stay updated on various rent control ordinances, unlawful detainer law, and post-foreclosure eviction law.

• Utilize strong writing, oral advocacy, trial preparation, and presentation skills.

• Apply Civil Litigation Experience and Licensed Attorney skills.

• Work with eviction and landlord - tenant matters.

Requirements • Must possess a valid license to practice law.

• Experience in civil litigation is required.

• Proficiency in handling eviction cases is crucial.

• Expertise in landlord-tenant laws and regulations is necessary.

• Excellent research and analytical skills are essential.

• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

• High level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial.

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with legal software and technology is a plus.
