Senior Manager, Supply Planning 12MTH FTC

The Senior Manager, Supply Planning is responsible for the development and execution of the global supply plan.

This position will be responsible for translating the sales forecast into a supply plan for manufacturing execution, providing requirements to internal and third party manufacturing sites, working closely with sites to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods according to requirements, managing daily inventory requirements through direct coordination with other functional groups, but not limited to, Logistics, Procurement, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Marketing.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Developglobal supply plan based on sales forecast and manufacturingconstraints.

  • Translatesupply plan into executable purchase orders with internal sites andthird-party manufacturers.

  • Work withinternal and third-party manufacturers on a routine basis to deliverrequested finished goods inventory according to scheduled timeline andquantity requirements.

  • Ensure theadherence to Global Operations standards for Supply Planning and ThirdParty Manufacturing.

  • Participatein the development of the supply planning strategy and implement relevantelements.

  • Optimizeinventory/supply holdings to limit excess and obsolete inventory whileensuring satisfaction of customer orders.

  • Coordinateinventory shipments amongst operational and quality teams to ensureseamless delivery to distribution centers.

  • Balanceinventory requirements to minimize the potential for back-orders.

  • Support andparticipation in the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP)through relevant metric reporting and summary of key supply/capacityconstraints.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, orrelated degree

  • Minimum of 7 years of business experience; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.

  • Results Orientation – ability to create better ways of doingthings, so that higher levels of performance are possible and can bereplicated.

  • Significant cross-functional leadership capabilities – ability tolead, collaborate and influence without authority; uses informalstructure, dynamics and culture to get things done. Pharmaceutical cross-functionalknowledge (Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, etc.) is a plus.

  • Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills

  • Analytical and problem resolution skills. Ability to anticipate and detect supplyissues and lead the prompt resolution to minimize or negate market impact.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a matrixedorganization; Effective collaboration with all constituencies is criticalto the success of this position

  • SAP ECC experience is a plus.
