What you will do

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Solutions Manager to oversee Body in White (BIW) and Paint Processes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of manufacturing principles, particularly in BIW and Paint processes, along with a proven track record of implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

  • Expertise in BIW and Paint Processes: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Body in White (BIW) and Paint processes within the manufacturing industry.

  • Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, drive efficiency, and improve overall performance.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Results-Oriented: Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering tangible business outcomes and exceeding performance targets.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement in manufacturing processes, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize equipment utilization, minimize downtime, and improve overall efficiency in BIW and Paint operations.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and develop initiatives to promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.

  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.

  • Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance process capability, reduce defects, and increase productivity.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in BIW and Paint processes to drive innovation and competitiveness.

  • Conduct thorough investigations of new projects, assessing feasibility, resource requirements, and potential risks before handing over to an industrialization team.

  • Develop and maintain the master plan for BIW and Paint processes, outlining short-term and long-term objectives, resource allocation, and timeline for implementation.

  • Support Product Owners with prioritization of projects for both BIW and Paint Agile Teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of [5] years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on BIW and Paint processes.

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence initiatives.

  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
