Perform a variety of tasks involving receiving, documenting, processing, inspecting, and return of related parts to the customer. Follow manufacturing drawings, specifications, and procedures. Be responsible for quality of product and work, and participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity. Function in cell and a Self-Directed Work Team environment. Interact with Production, Support and Customer personnel. Attain Operator and NADCAP Paint and Coatings Certifications. This position falls within the scope of the FAA Drug and Alcohol program and potential employees must pass FAA Drug Screen upon hire and submit to random Drug and Alcohol testing as required. ​
  • Participate in daily production coordination meetings to ensure schedules are met. Determine assignments, identify and take actions to resolve problems affecting schedules, quality and productivity.

  • Acquire knowledge and skills not presently possessed in order to perform the complete job, including Operator Certification. NADCAP Paint and Coatings Certification.

  • Disassembly, salvage, and rework parts returned from internal and external customers.

  • Freshen elastomer material, and do some mixing, blending, milling, and sheeting.

  • Prepare metals using mechanical and chemical processes and apply adhesives.

  • Fabricate, mold, cure and clean parts. Perform mold set-up as necessary.

  • Apply coatings such as enamel, lacquer, paint and dry film lube.

  • Assemble component parts into final product configuration.

  • Pick, stock and pack return material, overhaul and remanufacture finished goods.

  • Record and analyze data as specified.

  • Understand and follow drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions.

  • Inspect all work to ensure conformity with drawings and specifications and perform acceptance tests as required.

  • Identify and participate in resolving manufacturing difficulties and customer service/quality/productivity problems.

  • Train new operators.

  • Complete all paperwork and computer transactions accurately and timely.

  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and Production Support and Customer personnel.

  • Work effectively in a Self-Directed Work Team environment.

  • Disposition airline on the ground (A.O.G.) requirements.

  • Perform other similar & related duties.

Required:

  • High School Diploma

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Preferred:

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing operations experience

  • Mechanical skills/abilities

  • Trade school experience
