Boehringer Ingelheim Internship Product Quality Assurance in Fornovo San Giovanni, Italy

THE INTERNSHIP

For our site in Fornovo San Giovanni we are looking for 3 interns to join the Quality Assurance Department. During this formative period, you will have the opportunity to understand the role and the importance of the function within a company that produces Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) destined to the manufacturing of drugs for Human Pharma and Animal Health. Furthermore, you will acquire skills performing transversal activities and dealing with a multinational company context. Definitely something new to learn every day!

We offer a 6 months internship with possibility of extension

Tasks & what you will be learning

The intern will work closely with expert company employees. This daily collaboration will allow to understand the Good Manufacturing Practices and to adapt/use them within various company fields, such as:

Production documentation

  • The importance of the proper registration of all the operations prescribed by Batch Records;

  • The importance of the proper conservation of the documentation related to the production of each Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient batch;

Standard Operative Procedures (SOPs)

  • Scope and importance of the SOP, the writing of an SOP and related training;

  • The role of Quality Assurance in the preparation of SOPs and the alignment of SOPs to guidelines;

Production process

  • Change Control concept and its impact on product quality and process validation;

  • Deviation management and impact evaluation for batch release and CAPA concept (Corrective Action/Preventive Action, in order to correct or prevent the repetition of the deviation);

Requirements

  • Master's degree in CTF or Pharmacy;

  • Master in Quality Assurance is a plus;

  • Languages: Fluent Italian and good knowledge of English (level B2);

  • Good knowledge of Ms Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint);

  • Curious and analytical attitude, propensity for continuous improvement, innovation and teamwork;
