Description

We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Controller. This role is crucial to our operations, where you will be tasked with managing a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate customer setup and billing, producing financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and providing proactive analysis of financials.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

• Manage a system of controls over accounting transactions

• Ensure month-end processes are completed by assigned deadlines as well as all required account reconciliations

• Oversee customer setup and billing ensuring it is done timely and accurately

• Issue timely and complete financial statements in accordance with GAAP

• Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics

• Manage the production of annual budget and forecasts

• Provide for a system of management of site profitability reports

• Provide financial analyses as needed

• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors

• Provide proactive analysis of financials related to the Aftermarket segment of the business. Look for insights with revenue and expense accounts that can assist Operations

• Seek out areas of improvement for internal processes and coordination with field operations

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Controller or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Extensive knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Understanding of DCAA compliance requirements

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Strong skills in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Knowledge of Cost Accounting

• Ability to perform Inventory Reconciliation and Inventory Accounting

• Proficiency in QuickBooks

• Experience in Closing procedures
