Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide daily oversight and administrative support of supplier relationships, spend visibility, process compliance, and transactional accuracy. The Buyer will play an active role in process and system improvement within procurement and in collaboration with suppliers and internal customers as well as an important role in working directly with the Global Procurement Manager to meet objectives.

• Own all daily management and execution of assigned requisitions for goods and services with third-party providers for the Performance Materials Business Unit.

• Maintain proficiency in all relevant policies and procedures, including the ability to articulate and enforce policies and procedures.

• Maintain operational focus with emphasis on supplier performance, day-to-day resolution of deliveries and procure-to-pay issues.

• Provide expertise in processes and systems; contribute to the development and implementation of enterprise-wide procurement processes and systems including documentation; optimize procure-to-payment processes and information systems based upon business news, performance, and strategic objectives.

• Utilize ERP Applications to assist in establishing the best volume-based pricing available while maintaining appropriate levels of inventory.

• Review inventory reports (quantity, type and value of materials, and equipment and stock on hand) and interpret data to create an actionable plan to ensure inventory turnover meets business expectations.

• Provide input and data analysis on requisition and purchase price accuracy, spend management, and saving benefits capture to procurement management to aid in strategy development.

• Evaluate and measure vendor performance to ensure performance meets expectations, including lead time, delivery appointments, quality and contract commitments.

• Maintain positive relationship with vendors and visit vendor sites as required based on business needs.

• Maintain an open dialogue with the management team to coordinate activities, improve performance and drive down working capital and costs where possible.

• Responsible for driving continuous improvement activities as it relates to inventory/ warehousing to reduce days on hand, increase effective use of warehouse space, and drive down costs related to inventory.

• Assist Sourcing and Procurement team with category spend assessments, RFx development, supplier selection, price negotiation, and bid evaluation processes.

• Effectively communicate oral and written resolution of issues with all internal and external partners.

• Provide interactive bridge between corporate, procurement, internal and external customers, and suppliers.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field

1-3 years minimum of Purchasing and Procurement Analyst experience

• Skilled in MS Office and advanced Excel skills

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, business process, and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to enable better outcomes

• Experience with ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Planning and Purchasing experience working in a manufacturing environment
