CrowdStrike is seeking a Revenue Manager to join our dynamic team. In this highly visible role, reporting to the Sr. Revenue Manager, you will be one of the primary revenue accounting resources for the company by researching, resolving, and documenting technical revenue recognition issues. You will also play a key role in the month/quarter end close activities for revenue and related items. You will work with various cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
What You'll Do:
Review revenue contracts for application of appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with relevant accounting literature and the Company's revenue recognition policy
Prepare revenue recognition assessment for non-standard agreements including, material right, modification, SSP allocation, etc. as well as a summary of the non-standard terms of arrangement along with the revenue recognition implications per ASC 606 guidance for internal management and audit purposes
Perform month and quarter-end close tasks associated with revenue recognition, including the review of deferred revenue reconciliations, validating deferred revenue, and review/preparation of revenue journal entries for non-standard revenue deals, as required
Prepare and review quarterly revenue schedules and disclosures for internal and external reporting
Prepare and review schedules/reports in support of the internal and external audits within the required timeline
Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, sales, sales operations and professional services relative to contract negotiations to provide guidance on technical accounting, policy or process issues around revenue recognition
Own review or preparation of some of the internal controls
Drive ad hoc and business-critical revenue accounting projects through completion
What You'll Need:
6+ years of accounting or audit + accounting experience
Industry experience with at least 2-3 years specifically related to revenue recognition for SaaS under ASC 606
Business or accounting degree required
CPA strongly preferred
Bonus Points:
Big 4 audit experience preferred
Advanced knowledge of applying ASC 606 guidance to SaaS business model
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and attention to details
Ability to handle multiple tasks, establish appropriate priorities and meet deadlines
Working knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce
