Position Summary:
The Sr Director, Sales is responsible for driving growth in the LE/LPE businesses across North America. This role will include assessment, development and implementation of sales plans and processes to identify, generate, and nurture business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for leadership of the sales team in the West Zone and portions of Canada, supporting Lab Equipment and Lab Plastics Essentials business units
Owns strategy for team to drive revenue and booking targets
Aligns field sales team with product specialists and business unit initiatives to get results
Inspires a winning mentality and a culture focused on driving new business growth
Partners with Business Unit, Marketing and Sales Enablement colleagues as well as Channel Partners to develop and implement large-scale, strategic share gain programs such as Target Account Plans
Talent development, management of compensation plans/incentives and processes
Lead continued process improvement to drive flawless execution
Develop market coverage and resources to accelerate regional growth
Develop and harmonize commercial processes to increase sales efficiencies and execution
Annual improvement of customer allegiance scores and employee involvement
Key Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Minimum of 10 years of sales, marketing, business development or commercial operations experience
Role model sales leader with ability to develop a high-performance, customer focused and adaptable sales team
Demonstrated skills in leadership, strategic selling, negotiating, presentation and communication
Demonstrated commercial competence with strong analytical and financial skills: the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysis
Ability to operate within a matrix structure, prior experience working in large corporate environment or a diversified, complex organization is required
Strong talent management and people development skills.
