JetBlue Airways Corporation: Senior Cloud Automation Engineer - Long Island City, NYDUTIES:•Responsible for designing and provisioning cloud infrastructure via code.•Write and execute Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines capable of deploying standard cloud services including: Virtual Networks, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Storage Accounts, API Management Gateways, Kubernetes clusters, Messaging bus services and Managed databases•Write and execute code capable of managing Cloud governance policies, security, and cost management constructs.•Implement and leverage Configuration Management and GitOps to maintain infrastructure including Puppet, Salt, Flux, and Terraform.•Plan and build Cost effective PaaS solutions including provisions for high availability and disaster recovery.•Code and deploy infrastructure leveraging Availability Zones/Availability Sets•Create monitor alerts and remediation workflows.•Build auto remediation using automation frameworks and serverless functions.•Implement auto scaling features, container management policies, and specify virtual hardware to optimize for low cost and high application performance.•Use and make cloud environmental improvement based on operational metrics and best practices.•Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency responses on short notice.•Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS: bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in IT, Computer Science or related technical field followed by six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in a production operations environment OR master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in IT, Computer Science or related technical field and four (4) years of experience in a production operations environment.Other required experience: •Two (2) years of experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud production environment.•Four (4) years of experience coding and scripting in one of the following: Python, Bash, PowerShell.•Two (2) years of experience deploying and operating containerized applications.•Demonstrated knowledge of:•CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation tools•IT Infrastructure, single sign-on, network, IT security, server types, virtualization, storage area networks, data center tools, processes, and modern - event driven application architecture.•DR (Disaster Recovery) and HA (highly availability) solutions and their use.Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered.Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency responses on short notice.SALARY: $169,229-$198,000/YearLOCATION: 27-01 Queens Plaza North, Long Island City, NY, 11101.
