Position Overview:

The Associate Director / Director – National Accounts, Facial Aestheticsleads Allergan field based competitive defense efforts to ensure maintenance of market share and sales growth of Facial Aesthetics Product portfolio for FDA approved uses. Primary responsibilities include the drafting and execution of approved business plans to meet corporate objectives in targeted National Accounts. The Associate Director / Director – National Accounts, Facial Aestheticsmust develop and execute national and region based account business plans, coordinate Facial and collaborates with SKM internal and external sales management, training and marketing, and implement account development plans. The Associate Director / Director – National Accounts, Facial Aestheticsis responsible for creating specialized training material for National Accounts and execute initiatives through the involvement of all Sales Directors, Regional Managers and BDM’s. This position will also be responsible for partnering with brand managers to develop customized marketing and promotion activities.

The employee must conduct their work activities in compliance with all Allergan internal requirements and with all applicable regulatory requirements. Allergan internal requirements include compliance with ethics, environmental health and safety, financial, human resources, and general business policies, requirements and objectives.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, MBA Preferred

  • Minimum ten years of Healthcare/Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience

  • Minimumfive years of successful sales managementor equivalent people leadership experience

  • At least three years successful Facial Aesthetics sales experience, preferred

  • Experience with physician administered injectables preferred

  • Knowledge and experience of legal and regulatory requirement related to the Pharma/Biotech industries

  • Clinical and technical knowledge related to botulinum neurotoxins

  • Market Planning/strategy development experience and the ability to execute key strategies

  • Financial/budgetary experience

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • Supervisory/Management experience. Ability to effectively lead team to achieve consistent sales performance across the Nation.

  • Ability to evaluate staff deployment as well as region and territory assignments

  • Ability to monitor field activity to ensure balanced workloads; exercise control over resources, budgets and expenses; oversee business operations including accounts receivable, etc.

  • Superior leadership qualities and superior business acumen

  • Ability to effectively coach and develop others using strong analytical, decision making and results orientation skills

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to effectively work with many diverse customers and employees

  • Strong problem resolution skills
