Robert Half HR Generalist in Los Angeles, California

Description

A non-profit related to entertainment industry is hiring an HR Generalist on a direct hire basis. As the HR Generalist, you will work onsite 3 days per week and be the primary contact for employees. The HR Generalist will oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefit administration. Additional responsibilities include:

• Interpret and administer personnel policy manual provisions and assist in implementing policy changes

• Design and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse workforce

• Handle full-cycle recruitment including collaborating with hiring supervisors, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, conducting background checks, and implementing new employee orientation

• Assist in evaluating and implementing strategies that support staff retention

• Administer employee benefits programs, coordinate changes as necessary

• Administer leaves of absence while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines

• Investigate and recommend resolutions of staff complaints and concerns

• Counsel employees and supervisors through employee relations issues and disciplinary matters

• Provide support in administering training and development, performance management, and compensation programs

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

• Handle employment-related inquiries from employees, supervisors, and external agencies

• Maintain and audit all HR record-keeping

• Oversee temporary labor pool and track labor costs

• Prepare government reports.

This role is based in West Hollywood and will be onsite 3 days per week. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of HR experience. Salary is based on experience, ranging from $70-78k.

Requirements • Demonstrated experience in the amusement/recreation service/entertainment industry

• Proven knowledge and experience in HR Generalist roles

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Experience with Ceridian HRMS software

• Understanding of 'About Time' software

• Solid understanding of Benefit Functions

• Experience in Compensation Administration

• Strong knowledge of Compliance in the HR field

• Proven skills in Employee Relations management.
