Position Overview

Job Summary: Under the general guidance of the Executive Director, US Pharmaceutical Sales, Commercial IT, the Manager, BRM Specialty Sales is the primary liaison between US Specialty Sales business users, external vendors, and internal IT support & development staff on Sales applications requirements, design, implementation and support. The position works to manage demand for the Commercial IT technical teams and services, gather and write requirements and manage development of a portfolio of US Pharmaceutical solutions.

Responsibilities :

  • Accountable for providing high quality support services to the Specialty US Sales organizations.

  • Define and understand the business needs of the client, recommending solutions when appropriate, and understanding the project demand within the next 3-6 months.

  • For new projects, responsible for defining project objectives and scope, providing estimates to the business, gaining business approval, and initiating project with Commercial IT technical teams and services.

  • Responsible to update the US Sales BIMs and other Global Commercial IT teams on support service levels, upcoming projects, and ensure resources are in place to support all initiatives under their management.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients including customer satisfaction, cultivating growth, as well as day-to-day communication as necessary.

  • Serve as primary escalation point for marketing organization and their vendors; responsible for efficient and quick issue and problem resolution.

  • Meet regularly with business owners (minimum monthly).

  • Support/Manage other IT initiatives supporting the Global Commercial organizations.


  • At least 15+ years of relevant IT experience

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in implementing solutions for a pharmaceutical sales organization

  • Experience in analysis of business processes and business case development to support IT solutions.

  • Thorough knowledge of IT policies, practices and systems.

  • Experience contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.

  • Experience in contributing to the development of new theories and methods.

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience in Service Delivery Management and Client Facing experience, with experience in enterprise level information technology organizations with a focus on Applications, Data and Infrastructure management.

  • Proven experience as primary or senior business analyst on enterprise software development projects and enterprise Application implementations.

  • Demonstrated application portfolio and project portfolio management skills, including project planning, budgeting, and valuing IT investments.

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong long term relationship, communications and interact professionally with a diverse group of Executives, Managers, and Subject Matter Experts in both IT and business unit groups.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and strong problem solving skills.

  • Must possess organizational proficiencies to multi-task with multiple initiatives simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision with excellent follow-through on detailed tasks.

  • Highly motivated, self-starting, and committed to achieving results and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution.

  • Strong Business Acumen


  • B.S. degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related study is required.
