Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst based in Madison, NJ will assist the Manager(s) of Revenue Accounting and G-t-N Forecasting perform financial closing and forecasting responsibilities supporting approximately $5 billion of G-t-N deductions annually. At the direction of Revenue Accounting Management, the Analyst is responsible for booking all G-t-N related journal entries and assisting with P&L and Balance sheet analysis, reconciliations and roll-forwards for related accounts. Analyst will also assist with the consolidation of G-t-N rate forecasts.

The Senior Financial Analyst, Revenue Accounting works cross-functionally with internal colleagues in Commercial Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Operations, and Information Systems. Additionally, Position interacts directly with Allergan’s external auditors to facilitate quarterly reviews and alliance partners to fulfill contractual billing and reporting obligations.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Record journal entries to establish Gross-to-Net sales reserves for Commercial and Medicare Part D Rebates, Medicaid and State Program Rebates, Coverage Gap, Tricare, Chargeback related accruals, Returns and Coupon / Co-pay programs.

  • Use SAP and Revenue Management Source system data, Senior Analyst assists in the development of account reconciliations and roll-forward schedules to facilitate the analysis, validation and documentation of Balance Sheet reserves.

  • Assist Revenue Accounting Management in the developing, preparing and issuing monthly, quarterly and year-to-date reporting in support of Gross-to-Net analysis.

  • Support Revenue Accounting Management in the development, consolidation and analysis of G-t-N rates for planning and latest estimate forecasts.

  • Work with Revenue Accounting Management on projects and initiatives related to process improvement and operational efficiencies including but not limited to driving automation where possible.


The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:

  • Minimum 5+ years of related work experience.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Skills/Qualification

The below skills are attributes that are desired in the ideal candidate.

  • Related G-t-N experience and/or understanding of pharmaceutical industry, product flow and reimbursement.

  • Experience working with and knowledge of SAP and Pharmaceutical Revenue Management Systems a plus.

  • Proficient in most Microsoft applications with advanced EXCEL skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated attention to detail.


  • BS in Accounting of Finance; CPA preferred.
