About The Opportunity This role is defined as a technical generalist - responsible for timely, high quality, and cost-effective packaging designs, helping to train others. Responsible for working with internal and external customers to identify needs and requirements in effort to translate them into a manufacturable design that is produced at the highest standard of quality while maintaining profitability and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Responsible for working with internal and external customers to identify needs and requirements in effort to translate them into manufacturable and cost-effective designs that can be produced and be profitable. 2. Responsible for assessing and recommending customer/ market solutions using a variety of processes. 3. Provide quality designs using technical skill, knowledge, and judgment to ensure high value and profitability when producing products that meet our customers' specific needs. 4. Provide technical input and support in the advancement of materials. 5. Provide design support for custom and proprietary product development. 6. Manage multiple projects effectively while communicating regularly to stakeholders and meeting project timing commitments. 7. Refine and deploy a highly efficient and effective process for custom product development. 8. Support the activities necessary to meet or exceed the financial objectives of both sales growth and profitability for this offering. 9. Support the execution and continuous improvement of the quality policy and procedures as appropriate. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Designs returnable packaging dunnage utilizing SolidWorks/Inventor software 2. Strong communication skills with multiple departments. 3. Ability to multi-task and juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment 4. Attention to detail & strong time management skills. 5.
