MCW: SARGEANT HEALTH CENTER Student Worker Ophthalmology Visual in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Primary Functions Perform research experiments using biochemical assays, cellular and molecular biology experiments Operate and maintain a variety of basic lab equipment Assist in organizing and setup lab supplies and equipment for research Assist with animal research experiments Maintain laboratory notebooks, document experiments, troubleshoot and optimize laboratory protocols Participate in meetings with Principal Investigator and research staff and evaluate/interpret the validity of data as needed Prepare manuscript and abstracts with data collected for presentations and publications Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Must have strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. An ability to work independently as well as collaboratively is vital. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required. Ability to demonstrate responsibility and dependability when completing assignments plan and organize work according to established priorities and complete assignments accurately within established timeframes. Demonstrates cooperation, courtesy and consideration when working effectively with varied people.
