Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Process Engineer.

This role is based in our Nacogdoches, TX facility. Relocation Assistance will be provided.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $65250.0 - $95700.0 a year.

What you’ll do:

The Process Engineer will provide direct product support as well as be accountable for supporting the implementation of value engineering and NPD projects with cross-functional teams. This role will also support design work as required by project activities.

Essential Functions:

• Compiles, reviews, prepares and controls engineering department technical informational material for existing products, which may include changes in drawings, list of materials (BOM), technical specifications and test reports.

• Prepares and directs redesign of existing products. This may include leading projects that involve redesign.

• Consults with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Purchasing and other departments as necessary, regarding existing product engineering issues.

• Develops procedures and tools to improve the business and processes. Utilize 6-Sigma tools as part of engineering support programs.

• Cooperates with manufacturing to investigate tooling, quality control and production problems (field failures) and recommends/implements corrective actions.

• Supervises the technical approach of other exempt personnel and/or non-exempt personnel.

• Participates in department ISO certification activities and oversees department ISO procedures and work instructions.

• Specifies material and purchased components for existing and new products.

• Analyzes/understands technical specifications and define tests to be carried out on existing and new products.

• Responsible for the preparation of required engineering reports and records pertinent to assigned projects and product areas.

• Performs First Piece Quality Audits (FPQA) as requested by ETO engineering or Marketing to ensure design meets manufacturing and customer requirements.

• Coordinates/approves requests for material deviations as requested by operations or supply chain personnel

• Supports the implementation of new designs (VA-VE or NPD).

• Coordinates with global staff including ETO, VA-VE, Marketing, and Operations

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited university

• Minimum of 6 months of engineering experience (this includes internships or co-ops)

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

• Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Nacogdoches, TX.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Experience preferred.

• Knowledge of CAD programs. (Inventor preferred)

• Knowledge of IEEE and ANSI standards as applied to 1ph distribution transformers

• Knowledge of electric power distribution equipment
