Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager, Benefits based in Madison, NJ will manage key projects within Global Benefits as well as some cross functional projects within HR. The successful candidate will work directly with others, both internal and external and within or outside of HR in our collaborative culture to ensure deliverables fall within applicable scope and budget. Will coordinate all aspects of the project and lead the project teams. In addition, track all US and global benefit projects, including communications against established deadlines.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Independently lead the planning and implementation of benefits projects in coordination key stakeholders.

  • Assist in defining the project scope and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders.

  • Facilitate the definition of project methodology, goals and deliverables.

  • Develop detailed project plans, including interdependencies and actions necessary for each task to ensure program success, according to agreed project methodology and track progress based on agreed timeline.

  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust based on project constraints based on financial analysis.

  • Assemble and lead project team; provide direction and support to project team and ensure a high level of project quality.

  • Train project team members on project methodology and tools

  • Ensure timely identification and escalation of critical risks and issues with developed recommendations and solutions.

  • Present to stakeholders’ status reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.

  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

  • Complete project evaluations and assessment of results to define continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:

  • Minimum 6 years related work experience; 4+ years of experience as Project Manager or Program Manager running multinational, multi-disciplined projects.

  • PMI, PMP, Agile certification strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills/Qualification

  • Excellent project management and leadership skills for running large, highly complex projects in a matrixed way.

  • Knowledge and understanding of complex benefits or HR processes.

  • Professional experience working in a multi country, regional or global role.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Must be able to create presentations and collect, gather and report metrics to support projects.

  • Discipline and commitment to turn strategy into reality; driving results by focusing on prioritization and continuous improvement.

  • Shows curiosity, asks probing questions, and challenges the status quo to make strong decisions while managing and driving change.

  • Personable, energetic, professional, self-motivated and detail-oriented.

  • Expert analytical skills and the ability to synthesize change quickly using advanced subject and process knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communication and present at the C-Suite level

  • Experience in strategic planning, risk mitigation and change management.

  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual, global, fast-paced environment – and prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines.

  • Fluent English, multi-lingual and/or multi-country experience is a plus.
