Description:

Summary:

Demonstrate superior customer service skills by helping with guest needs and to provide for the general safety and security of guest, employees and company assets.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide security and protection for guests, team members, as well as hotel & casino property

  • Assist with answering questions about the property, giving directions and guidance

  • Handle all monetary transactions between the cage and gaming tables in compliance with Nevada Gaming Regulations and as required by management

  • Operate the security booth in accordance with established procedures; maintain a log of incidents involving guests, team members and customers of the casino

  • Maintain surveillance of the cage and the surrounding area

  • Replace all boxes on gaming tables after the count has been completed for each shift, ensuring boxes are to taken to the cage and locked in the count room for proper storage

  • Prepare detailed reports on any security related incidents that occur in the casino area

  • Administer first aid and assist injured guests and team members if needed

  • Remain alert for suspicious persons or disturbing incidents and check for juveniles in the casino and bar areas

  • Patrol areas of the parking lot for guest and team member safety

  • React promptly to disturbances at gaming tables, bars, and any other areas where security is required

  • Follow and observe actions of individuals suspected of illegal activities until sufficient evidence or probable cause exists to detain the individual

  • Request back-up security and notify the shift supervisor prior to apprehension of suspected person

  • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Military, law enforcement, and/or previous hotel and casino experience preferred

  • Previous experience working in a team or group environment

  • Able to interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner

  • Ability to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Verify right to work in the United States

  • 3 Year DMV Record

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and/or chest levels, and over head

  • Frequently bend, reach, squat, kneel, and communicate via radio

  • Constantly walking, standing, and use of hearing and vision

Work Environment Potential Conditions

  • Indoor and outdoor

  • Smoky and noisy

  • Extreme hot and cold temperatures, including humidity
