PNC Security Specialist (Tokenization/Data Protection/Data Classifcations) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

As a Secuirty Specialist within PNC's Security Data Protection organization. You will be based either in Pittsburgh, PA, or Strongsville, OH, or Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

Need for support within the Structured Data space for Lower Environment & Tokenization Teams. We are rolling out capabilities for Masking, Tokenization and Synthetic Data that require specialized support to onboard the PNC mnemonics. This resource will be a requirement beyond what our original contractor was brought on for as the capabilities continue to be expanded and ongoing support provided.

Required Skills:

• Ability to work with Business on requirements documentation and process improvement.

• Strong Communication skills - Written, Verbal and Organizational

• Collaboration with cross functional teams to translate technical and business processes.

• Conduct & Lead meetings across various lines of business.

• Knowledge of Data Protection, Data Classifications, Data Desensitization and Tokenization required

Job Description

  • Provides technical evaluation and analysis in a specific Security area. Supports activities, process, and tools needed to improve overall security posture of the organization. Primary responsibilities do not include Architect or Engineering responsibilities.

  • Applies security concepts, reviews information, executes defined tasks, analyzes requirements, reviews logs, and creates documentation. Performs investigation and data loss prevention, data manipulation, and coordination of activities. Performs actions to address or mitigate risks and vulnerabilities. Reviews and defines controls.

  • Advises on more complex security procedures and products for clients, security administrators and network operations. Participates in enforcement of control security risks and threats; potential of one more controls subject to manager discretion. Shares knowledge with staff.

  • Conducts security assessments and other information security routines consistently. Investigates and recommends corrective actions for data security related to established guidelines.

  • Develops policies and procedures to standardize security functions and eliminate potential vulnerabilities and threats. Oversees that business needs are being met during development.
