Job Purpose

Mix raw plastic components and additives by weight in a horizontal plow mixer. Operator will be tasked with create resin powder blend that supplies the rest of the department with material for molding operation. Operator will also start the process by weighing out post-blended powder into trays that determines the thickness of parts being molded.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Cleaning & upkeep of blenders, granulators, Retsch sieve shaker, cone mill, Sweco shaker and drying ovens as required.

  • Use & understanding of drying oven run sheets; molding run sheets; manufacturing orders.

  • Blend, weigh out, and issue materials daily as needed to meet schedules for department production.

  • Work with the scheduler/buyer to produce all Compression Molding blends or process other materials as necessary per SOP and weekly schedule to support CM production.

  • Monthly cycle count inventory of all raw and blended materials.

  • Inspection, post production finishing & proper movement of products and blends.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Attending and participating Safety Huddles and Department Meetings

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Completion of required process and quality records.

  • Production reporting using barcode system; access and use of SOPs, JSAs, Exhibits, and Control Plans on company intranet.

  • Use of various hand and power tools and measuring equipment.

  • Proficiency with both stand-up and walk-behind Fork trucks: OSHA license required.

  • Support of Company, Quality, Safety/Housekeeping, and HR rules and Policies as applicable.

  • The salary range for this position is $22.02. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
