The Statewide Online Education Program (SOEP) enables secondary students to earn high school graduation credit through the completion of publicly funded online courses.   *Part-Time Position Principal Duties SOEP Educational Specialist Responsibilities:* **

• Advise students and parents regarding online course enrollment and how courses relate to graduation requirements. 
• Direct students and parents to school-specific counselors for school-specific graduation requirements. 
• Provide technical support to an LEA,school-based counselor,eligible student,or eligible student s parent. 
• Along with other SOEP Educational Specialists,provide annual mandatory training for relevant staff at primary LEAs. 
• Be familiar with applicable laws,rules,regulations,and/or policies and procedures. 
• Support other functions of the Statewide Online Education Program.

The ideal candidate 

• Master's degree or higher 
• A Utah educator s license or school counseling license. 
• Experience as a high school counselor.
• Experience working with state/federal statutes and policy,including knowledge of IDEA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (preferred).. 
• Experience teaching online and/or developing or facilitating online learning opportunities (preferred).. 

Preference Preference may be given to candidates which have:

• Experience enrolling students in Statewide Online Education Program classes through SEATS. 
• Experience in Special Education. 
• Experience in Instructional Design. 
• Spanish Speaking. 
• A Leadership License.
