Manages compliance and controls for all new build and pre-opening processes including system installations

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Technology related education or Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent.

  • 3 years’ project management experience.

  • 2 years’ in an Associate Supervisory role.

  • 2 years’ experience in hotel operation, preferably been in Rooms department head posITion or Systems Manager posITion.

  • 2 years’ experience of working wITh people of different cultures and values in the Asia Pacific Continent.

  • Proven negotiation skills.

  • Excellent oral / wrITten communication and presentation skills; English and Mandarin Chinese language skills for add-on.

  • Application product knowledge of OPERA PMS, OPERA Sales and Catering, MARSHA, SGI, SFA/OneSource Interface, Rewards program etc.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Projects and PriorITies

  • Responsible for service delivery compliance checks, training and audIT at new build/conversion and acquisITion hotels.

  • Responsible for remote checking the key ITems of system configuration before opening, ensure the activation/testing are done properly.

  • Accountable for spot-check on-sITe hotel opening processes for final sign-off of application and system installation, more detailed governance and alleviate completely all post opening related issues for PMS,Marsha, Finance and related interface etc

  • Responsible for governance of training delivery qualITy for PMS, S&C and other related system.

  • Accountable for attend the HALO and Luxury Project’s countdown on request, perform as a key IT leader through the process.

  • Accountable for on-demand HALO and Luxury projects’ property application installations and refresh training, including but not limITed to OPERA PMS wITh MARSHA 2Way, SGI 2Way, GXP 2Way and OPERA Sales & Catering wITh SFA/OneSource Interface and Systems review.

  • Responsible for making sure business partners completion qualITy control reports are available and reviewed on a timely basis, ensure the crITique is fair and thorough.

  • Responsible for recertification of vetted and approved IT consultants, Business Partners’ installers.

  • Responsible for governance of ATZ process and reporting out of ATZ wITh IT Opening team.

  • Accountable for conducting project kick-off call meeting remotely for pre-opening hotels.

  • Accountable for governance and follow ups of the Compliance & Quality Controls documents submission timeline and qualITy from the field.

  • Accountable for maintaining the on-line tool effectively for pre-opening IT openings database.

  • Responsible for reporting key opening ITems such as UAT planning/scheduling, GPNS certification, and all in scope systems installed etc.

  • Accountable for process compliance related to pre-opening implementation.

  • Accountable for maintaining handover, compliance and process related documents to IT pre-opening field teams and champions.

  • Assessing and reporting on business partner qualITy on-property.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining pre-opening pool of talent wITh IT Openings team.

  • Responsible for conduct key induction company shell and enhancement training for the 3rd party company ensuring they are current wITh Marriott requirements.

  • Responsible for maintaining application documentation that Corporate requires for each continent.

  • Responsible for maintaining a strong relationship wITh Marriott International IT groups, Continent operational groups to ensure the Business Application Standards suITable for an Asia Pacific deployment and can be implemented on projects.

  • Responsible for review and maintain documentation for issue to business partners for use at properties.

Managing Key Stakeholder Expectation

  • Responsible to for providing feedback to continent IT leadership about qualITy of consultants or business partner’s services.

  • Responsible for providing feedback to continent IT leadership about process improvement.

  • Accountable for generating performance rating for IT consultants & systems integrators

  • Responsible for managing relationships and expectations wITh IT Regional Directors, IT Area Directors and IT Cluster leaders for pre-opening resource planning.

Key Reports Out

  • Responsible for opening Compliance & Quality Controls reports and templates

  • Responsible for handover checklist submissions to Opening managers.

  • Responsible for compliance and controls executive report, ATZ reports.

  • Responsible for monthly flash report to executives.

  • Responsible for monthly field opening issues summary to Senior Director, IT Design & Openings

  • Responsible for maintaining and reporting of Countdown checklist execution
