In this role, you will drive ecommerce partner account or select accounts, building full-funnel partner marketing plans, creative campaigns and relevant experiences. You’ll be a subject matter expert for our Devices and Creativity solution area which includes our Windows, Surface and M365 products and services. You’ll work with channel sales teams to influence the design of unique Microsoft digital experiences at targeted partner(s), activating an ecommerce/omnichannel strategy, building partner capability and delivering joint value with our partners. Success is measured by funnel management effectiveness, customer journey enhancement, site experience management, campaign effectiveness/ROI, partner satisfaction, conversion, sell-through and brand love.

You will act as a trusted advisor to drive strategic decisions about our marketing investment strategy and marketing mix at the partner level. Our partner marketers have deep relationships with our partner’s teams and are responsible for driving partner neogotiations and maximizing impact across partner marketing vehicles, programs and platforms. Partner Marketers have end-to-end responsibility for marketing campaign planning & execution, including the marketing calendar, negotiating and enabling digital marketing & transformation on partner.com. You will also work closely with Partner Readiness to drive conversion online through training, evangelism and assisted sales motions.

By joining the Consumer Channel & Partner Marketing team, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s focused on driving full-funnel marketing for an exciting ecosystem that continues to grow. As the owner of partner engagement, you’ll have the opportunity to share feedback around the partner trends, capture learnings and establish campaign best practices, leveraging the global infrastructure for support and shared platforms.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home based on proximity to a Microsoft office.

Responsibilities

Deliver an omnichannel strategy and full-funnel marketing plans across consumer channels to drive profitable sell-through and build brand advocacy.

Omnichannel Strategy

  • Activate ecommerce sales motions through digital marketing excellence, mobile-first executions and social commerce

  • Influence conversion through seamless and connected shopper journeys

  • Create short, medium and long-term full-funnel partner marketing plans that drive ecommerce/omnichannel sales motions and maximize sell-through & ROI.

  • Optimize retail presence by landing and maintaining in-store programs and experiences

  • Build brand advocates among retail sellers and consumers through training, evangelism and community engagement platforms

  • Land best-in-class product launch moments, key seasonal initiatives and sustain marketing

  • Effective planning for investment efficiency, set right target to optimize CPC and ROI.

Consumer and Partner Marketing Execution

  • Assess partner capabilities to maximize opportunities and create joint value

  • Drive partner planning and investment strategy leading to Partner Marketing Plans to maximize reach and effectiveness

  • Leverage eCommerce events and sales motions to enlarge business size through digital marketing excellence, mobile-first executions and social commerce.

  • Thought leadership and strategy for online marketing campaigns, including paid search, paid display, retargeting, SMS, customer service, social media etc. to drive traffic and sales.

  • Activate partner marketing principles to co-create targeted marketing campaigns with partners to support our lines of business, establishing clear KPIs and marketing value

  • Leverage robust analytics and insights to create better investment strategies and execution across marketing investments to drive greater business impact

  • Effective funnel and performance management. Continuously iterating and refining based on data analysis, customer feedback, and market dynamics to drive sustained growth and profitability.

  • Managing funnel performance metrics, including traffic volume, traffic quality, conversion rates, average order value, and customer retention rates and implementing strategies to optimize each stage of the funnel.

  • Coordinate with consumer marketing teams across the organization to ensure effectiveness in thru the line planning

Execution Excellence

  • Drive Execution Excellence Online with acute focus on Search and Discoverability.

  • Partner closely with site management agency teams or leverage partner tools to manage product listings and pricing on e-commerce platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all online channels.

  • Collaborates with agency teams on digital merchandising strategies, including product listing optimization, search placement, and imagery to enhance online visibility and conversion rates.

  • In addition to the key beats of the platform, the planning and implementation of store activity can improve operation efficiency of store and improve conversion.

  • Customer journey management and optimize to improve customer experience.

  • Set campaign performance metrics and secure partner reporting to validate proof of execution and assess campaign performance.

  • Analyze usage and ROI of market development funds, aligning spends to global guidance and initiatives.

  • Create strong agency relationships as measured through our Microsoft feedback forums and surveys.

  • Drive creation and review of monthly and quarterly feedback/reporting in support of regular business milestones.

  • Analyze performance results against execution activities to identify causals, opportunities and action plans.

  • Drive brand consistency and deep understanding of the retail, competitive and marketing landscape.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field AND 7+ years digital, retail, channel marketing, marketing, retail sales, or commercial sales experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years people management experience.

  • 4+ years eCommerce marketing management experience with proved track record

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field AND 9+ years digital, retail, channel marketing, marketing, retail sales, or commercial sales experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 7+ years Digital, Retail, Channel Marketing, Marketing, Retail Sales, or commercial sales experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years project leadership/generic management experience.

  • Adapt at building integrated partner marketing plans and campaigns across multiple marketing disciplines

  • Direct experience interfacing with partners and a proven track record delivering growth/performance metrics.

  • Understand the omnichannel buying journey, well-versed in sales channels, commerce platforms. Expertise landing and coordinating cross-discipline marketing programs and sales programs.

  • Track record of marketing execution excellence and ROI through planning, operations-savvy, creative execution, readiness and analytics/insights

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to be a great listener.

  • Strong, demonstrated, presentation skills to groups of all sizes and levels and a successful track record of sales and negotiation skills, including advanced sales knowledge

  • Business and financial acumen – Experience managing suppliers, working across business functions and entrepreneurial flexibility to support trends, market dynamics and new channels

  • Ability to engage and influence at senior levels – strong executive presence and cross-functional collaborator

  • Experience managing ambiguity and rapid change – demonstrate agility and risk-taking

  • Proven track record managing and developing high-performance, diverse teams
