As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Job Overview

• Support customers with understanding, integrating, testing and optimizing performance of software features for Peripherals include USB/PCIe/UART/SPI/I2C.

• Daily support for Training and assisting customers with software integration, development, and system debugging.

• Help customers to solve any issues found on all layers including peripheral bus driver, USB gadget/XHCI driver, PCIe root driver and driver.

• Play consultant/expert role, trouble shooting, identify problem reported by customers, analysis and narrow down the root cause and fix problems.

• On-site support in customer location for critical issue.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficient in coding with C. Python experience will be a plus.

• Good knowledge of ARM architecture, Linux OS, data structures and basic algorithms.

• Good knowledge of DDR/USB/PCIe/UART/SPI/I2C drivers is required.

• Familiar with DDR/USB/PCIe/UART/SPI/I2C protocol and device drivers.

• Debugging skills in embedded environment and Linux driver, peripheral bus protocol analysis.

• Good spoken and written English.

• Self-motivated and be able to work alone with high pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on DDR/USB/PCIe/UART/SPI/I2C device driver development and customization is highly preferred

• Experience on ethernet support and development is plus

• Strong understanding and work experience on Networking and Wifi is a plus

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are preferred

Education Requirements

• Bachelor and above, with Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science, or other relative majors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
