Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have an undergraduate educational degree.

  • Must have broad understanding of the various educational levels of nursing and allied health.

  • Must have experience working with Microsoft office programs including MSWord, MSOutlook, and MS Excel.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience or equivalent in clerical work/office management.

Job Concepts

  • Provides clerical guidance and personal assistance to the Dean of the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health in the management of daily operations.

  • Manages numerous budgets for which the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health is responsible.

  • Manages travel reimbursement and submission of travel expenses for all College of Nursing and School of Allied Health faculty members. Manages travel request/arrangements, submission of travel expenses, for the Dean and faculty of the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health.

  • Serves as a liaison between those wishing to schedule time/events/meetings on the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health campus in Shreveport, Louisiana.

  • Ensures that all required personnel, budget, and travel files are kept up-to-date, organized, and readily available to meet State, University and accreditation body requests.

  • Manages the ordering of necessary supplies to maintain day-to-day operations of the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health for all nursing/allied health campuses.

  • Creates and submits all required contractual paperwork each semester for adjunct faculty contracts Professional Service Contracts; Extra Service Contracts; Continuing Education contracts; Affiliation Agreements, and Employee Hire packets.

  • Ensures that all new employee interviews, documentation, and paperwork for NSU and Louisiana State Board of Nursing are submitted in a timely manner.

  • Assist Endowed Professorship holders in the establishment of budget units, expenditures, and reconciliation of annual budgets. Assists the Project Directors in the management, expenditure requests, budget monitoring, budget reconciliation, and reporting of all CONSAH grants.

  • Complete other duties as deemed essential by the Dean, College of Nursing and School of Allied Health or designee.
