Job Description:

Responsible for the execution of company programs including cost, schedule, and technical performance. Coordinates the preparation and release of program plans, schedules, budgets, and estimates to complete. Acts as the primary customer interface for program activities and leads program meeting/reviews with the customer and executive staff. Engages in all activities to maintain continuity with all programs on a “cradle to grave” basis. Identifies, analyzes, and mitigates all program risk.

Essential Functions:

  • This position reports to Director, Programs and supports production and logistics for on-time delivery and risks associated with production line stoppages, product deployment, spares, repairs/RMA turnaround time, O&M documentation and training.

  • Plans, organizes, controls, and directs complex technical programs to ensure successful accomplishment of technical design, financial goals, and manufacturing objectives.

  • Provides a single point of contact on program activities for both the customer and L3Harris Datron as well as coordinate program planning with the customer to ensure the identification of appropriate schedules, design efforts, costs, and other considerations.

  • Coordinates program details within L3Harris Datron with a wide variety of individuals and functions leading to successful program conclusion.

  • Reviews potential changes in contract scope and advise management and customer of the impact.

  • Negotiates cost and schedule modifications, as well as develops and writes program plans, and assists and/or coordinates the preparation of cost and technical proposals in response to customer requirements.

  • Coordinates and conducts design review activities and meetings, schedules internal meetings and customer presentations as required, and prepares and manages departmental budget and expenses.

  • Responsible for producing reports, presentations, and trainings

  • Interface with engineering, manufacturing, and management personnel.

  • Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, setting realistic customer expectations and owning and solving problems.

  • Responsible for seeking customer input and meeting commitments

  • Responsible for maximizing production and spares profits, maintain a high level of customer service by managing delivery, failures, RMA turnaround, and spares.

  • Will require travel 15% of the time.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years experience with production/logistics support.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.

  • Must have ability to adapt to change and be open to new ideas that may include taking on new responsibilities. Must be adept at handling pressure and uncertainty and adjusting work plans to meet changing company/department needs. Must manage time well to meet deadlines.

  • Must be willing to work overtime hours when required, meet attendance requirements, meet schedule requirements as assigned, and maintain a positive attitude during overtime hours.

  • Must be skilled in organizing information, maintaining an organized work area, and time management.

  • Must be capable of developing realistic plans, setting goals, balancing short- and long-term goals, aligning plans with company/department goals, resource management, contingency planning, coordinating and cooperating with others.

  • Must be capable of making thoughtful, systematic decisions; make decisions under pressure, gather input, and build consensus; make unpopular decisions and consider impact of decisions. Must be able to make effective decisions quickly.

  • Must be practiced in applying past experience to current situations and providing manager with feedback.

  • Must act with integrity, admit to and learn from mistakes, meet commitments, and be accountable for decisions.

  • Must be experienced in anticipating and preventing problems, defining problems, overcoming obstacles, generating alternate solutions, and group problem solving.

  • Must be capable of seeking out new responsibilities, recognizing and acting on opportunities, generating new ideas, and initiating self-development. Excellent follow up/follow through skills are required.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $102,000 - $190,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
