As Finance Manager, I will support all directives on environmental protection and preservation, re-usage and minimum wastage, purchasing and packaging such as the abolition of single-use plastic. I will support the Sustainability Guidelines as they relate to my department and set goals to improve my performance.

In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Finance department to provide exceptional products and services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.

I will work strategically with the Regional Director of Finance to develop cohesive and productive goals for my department and establish procedures/guidelines to achieve them. I will support an overall consistency of the Company’s vision, quality/standards and develop concepts consistent with brand identity.

My scope of work includes (and not limited to):

  • Maintain effective management of the property’s credit practices.

  • Provide a flow of financial information and reporting to all divisions and departments to the Regional Director of Finance or Hotel Manager.

  • Oversee all financial management aspects, including budgeting (Operational and Capital Expenditure), forecasting, and financial planning,

  • Monitor actual financial performance to budget.

  • Oversee financial transactions, including approval of purchase requisitions and orders, payments, petty cash, payroll, audit and other financial requests.

  • Ensure internal controls are in place to provide compliance with financial, legislation and taxation requirements.

  • Coordinate the preparation of all required tax filings with third-party service provider and ensure accurate and timely submission. 

  • Provide guidance and training to all team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in finance related matters.

  • Minimize payroll costs by maximizing productivity and efficient scheduling of hosts.

  • Prepare and submit legally required and confidential documentation related to the operation.

  • Complete accurately all corporate reporting requirements for the role.

To execute the position of Finance Manager, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results. I possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or similar qualifications. I have more than three years’ experience in a hotel accounting role.

Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS , PMS and CRM platforms. I have an excellent command of written and spoken English with ideally some knowledge of French and customs.

I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.
